Jon Stewart Sticks Up for Trevor Noah After ‘Kerfuffle’ on Twitter

Jon Stewart returned from break tonight and immediately addressed the elephant in the room: his successor, Trevor Noah, and the “large kerfuffle” that surrounded the announcement.

Stewart said, “Trevor Noah will earn your trust and respect… or not, just as I earned your respect… or did not.”

He asked the audience to “give him an opportunity to earn that trust and respect,” talking up what a good and funny person Noah is.
