Joy Reid Claims ‘Billionaire Right’ Wants Apartheid In California — Like Texas: ‘They’re Looking to Try to Take It With Lies and Deceit and by Fire’

MSNBC’s Joy Reid claimed the “billionaire right” is trying to take over California amid the expansive fires, modeling itself after Texas and Florida.

“They can drive out the Brown people and the Black and Asian people, or just sink them into the same apartheid they’ve created in Texas, and they will control enough electoral votes if they control California to never have to worry about another presidential election,” she said after railing against conservative like James Woods for spreading “lies” about California’s inability to deal with the ongoing fires.

Reid claimed that the fires — which have destroyed thousands of homes and businesses — are nothing but an excuse for the right to rail against California and turn it red. The fires have thus far claimed dozens of lives and thousands of homes and businesses.

“They can drill and frack California until the fires this past week pale in comparison. They can rip out all the forests and hand over the land to developers, Florida-style,” she said.

The fires, according to Reid, are nothing but an opportunity for the right, desperate to change the “culture” of California.

“The billionaire right knows that they cannot take California – home to Hollywood, San Francisco, and Kendrick Lamar – by culture. So they’re looking to try to take it with lies and deceit and by fire,” she said.
