Kerry to Code Pink Protester: ISIS Killing Innocents and You’re Targeting U.S.?
Secretary of State John Kerry got just a teensy bit annoyed at his Senate hearing today when a Code Pink protester interrupted to speak out about the United States killing innocents. As Kerry was testifying on taking military action against ISIS, the protesters stood up and started speaking.
He was escorted out of the chamber as he talked about “endless war” and the “killing of innocent people” by the United States.
Kerry said, “Killing more innocent people. I wonder how our journalists who were beheaded and a pilot who was fighting for freedom who was burned alive––what they would have to say to their efforts to protect innocent people.”
Hours after the incident, Code Pink tweeted this out:
PSA: Just because we are opposed to war does NOT mean we support ISIS. Jeez.
