Loretta Lynch Responds to Podesta Slamming FBI: We’ve Been Taking Hack Investigation Seriously

A few days ago, Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta wrote a scathing op-ed tearing into the FBI over its handling of hacked Democratic emails. He said the agency has been failing to adequately investigate the hacks and claimed that the agency was far more engaged on the Clinton server investigation than this.

Podesta also claimed on Meet the Press today that the FBI only reached out to him once, and that was after WikiLeaks started dumping his emails.

Well, CNN’s Jake Tapper asked Lynch about that in an interview today, and the attorney general repeatedly insisted that it’s an ongoing investigation that they’re taking seriously.

Lycnh said she couldn’t comment on “where he gets his information or why he has that view.”

Tapper asked her if the Clinton investigation got more attention than the hacking one. Lynch said it’s unfair to “draw equivalencies” like that.
