Man Jumps Barricade At Today Show Taping

During this morning’s broadcast of Today, the show’s hosts had to contend with more than just the usual early wake-ups and funny animal stories: a man jumped over a barricade at Rockefeller Plaza, where the show tapes, yelling incoherently and completely interrupting a segment. Good morning!

As Gossip Cop reports, Today co-host Al Roker suggests the man may have been yelling about “being God’s gift to music.” Bieber? Was that you, boo?

Ann Curry, who tried her best to move on from the incident inside the studio while her colleagues were dealing with the man outside, Tweeted about the incident this morning:

Drama @todayshow: man suddenly jumped over the plaza guard rail, speaking incoherantly. All ok. Weirded out, but ok.
