Marc Lamont Hill Admits He Uses N-Word ‘Promiscuously’ in Private
During a discussion about Justin Bieber making a racist joke a few years ago, CNN political analyst Marc Lamont Hill admitted on-camera to using the n-word himself “promiscuously” in private.
Hill said that Bieber shouldn’t necessarily get a “pass” for his racist joke, but at the same time “you can’t hold someone prisoner” for what they said when they were fifteen years old. And he argued that what Bieber did––making a joke a few years ago––doesn’t even come close to Donald Sterling‘s discriminatory past.
CNN legal analyst Sunny Hostin argued it’s worse for a young person like Bieber to use that kind of language, but Hill jumped in to call her an “n-word fundamentalist.” She shot back, “You like to use the n-word, I think we should get that out there.”
And that’s when Hill said, “I don’t use it in public, I don’t use it on TV, that’s how I keep a job, but in my house I use the n-word promiscuously.”
