Mika: Far Right Could Use More of Lindsey Graham’s Inclusiveness

Noting that she’s rarely impressed by 2016 candidate Lindsey Graham, Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski said he fully impressed her with his comments about Caitlyn Jenner yesterday.

Graham welcomed Jenner to the party CNN’s State of the Union, and even solicited her vote, adding “I don’t have all the answers to the mysteries of life, and I can only imagine the torment Bruce Jenner went through.”

The comments surprised Brzezinski enough that she did a double-take to make sure it was Graham speaking. “It would have been enough to say she’s welcome to the party, but I like the part about the mysteries of life,” she said. “There was a certain ‘I’m not going to judge’ in there that the far right could use more of.”

The panel agreed that it was a good move for Graham politically, signaling he would be an inclusive general party candidate, and something the GOP should encourage.
