MSNBC’s Kornacki ‘Did a Double Take’ Upon Seeing How Much Clintons Made

MSNBC’s Steve Kornacki admitted this morning he did a pretty big double take upon learning yesterday just how much Hillary and Bill Clinton have been making in speeches since last year.

Reports yesterday revealed that the Clintons made a total of $25 million dollars from speeches between early 2014 and the present, while Hillary Clinton made $5 million on the sales of her book Hard Choices.

This morning, Kornacki said, “I did a double take when I saw this. 30 million’s big, but then this is just in a year and a half.”

NBC News’ Kristen Welker pointed out this puts the Clintons in the top one percent, which could be problematic for any campaign efforts to frame Hillary Clinton as able to connect with average Americans.
