MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell: O’Reilly’s Threats to Journos Just ‘Irish Bluster’
MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell told Rachel Maddow last night that Bill O’Reilly‘s threats to journalists over his war stories are just about O’Reilly’s “Irish bluster” and nothing more. O’Reilly threatened a New York Times reporter and talked about Mother Jones‘ David Corn being in the “kill zone” over his report questioning the aforementioned war stories.
Corn was on with Rachel Maddow last night to condemn those threats and question Fox’s handling of the situation, but when Maddow cued up O’Donnell’s show, O’Donnell had her hang around so she could “explain the angry Irishman” to her.
O’Donnell said that when O’Reilly tells the Times he’ll go after them with everything he’s got, “what he’s got is a TV show, that’s it.” “It’s all gonna be in the safety of that studio. Nobody has to worry about a thrown punch or anything like that,” the MSNBC host added.
