Must-See Late Night Clip: Maya Rudolph Debuts Her Rachel Dolezal Impression

When Sarah Palin arrived on the national scene in 2008, people could not stop telling Tina Fey how much they looked alike. The resemblance was so striking that even though Fey had left Saturday Night Live two years earlier, she returned a handful of times to embody the vice presidential candidate.

Now, the same thing is happening to Maya Rudolph. SNL is currently on summer break — and Rudolph has been off the show for eight years — but still, she told Seth Meyers last night, people are coming up to her every day to tell her she should be playing ousted-NAACP chapter president Rachel Dolezal.

So, she decided to bring her trusty afro wig to Late Night and debut her impression. Unfortunately for all of us, this story will almost definitely be old news by the time SNL returns in the fall.
