Netanyahu Praises Newsmax at Jerusalem Event as CEO Declares, ‘We All Became Israelis’ on Oct 7

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised Newsmax for “helping” his country fight the “eighth front” in Israel’s war — “the battle of truth” — during an appearance at the network’s annual celebration in Jerusalem.

The event, delayed from July after heightened tensions between Israel and Iran, was broadcast live on Wednesday.

Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy introduced Netanyahu with a tribute likening him to British wartime Prime Minister Winston Churchill, praising his fight against “two of the gravest threats to Israel’s security.”

“On Oct. 7, we all recognized that all people who love freedom and cherish the values of a great society. On that day, we all became Israelis and we all stood with Prime Minister Netanyahu and the people of Israel,” Ruddy said.

Shaking hands with the CEO, Netanyahu took to the stage to praise the network.

“Thank you, Newsmax, for helping us on the eighth-front war: seven fronts against Iran and its proxies, the eighth front – the battle for truth,” Netanyahu told the audience, adding: “There’s only one way to beat the lies, and that’s with the truth.”

The event comes as concern rises internationally over the humanitarian situation in Gaza and growing disillusionment with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), the U.S.- and Israeli-backed aid program that has been widely criticized for limited distribution and proximity to Israeli forces.

Continuing his speech, Netanyahu denied the reports of a humanitarian crisis, dismissed accusations of genocide and a “starvation policy” as “ridiculous,” and accused Hamas of creating shortages and looting aid.

“The genocidal element is Hamas,” he said, also citing the “Iranian axis” as seeking the annihilation of Israel, Jews in America, and the U.S. itself.

Netanyahu linked international criticism to “antisemitic blood libels” of the past, warning criticism of Israel requires an aggressive rebuttal. He reserved special scorn for U.S. campus activists chanting “from the river to the sea,” calling the slogan a call for Israel’s destruction.

“If you’re not ready to fight for freedom, you will lose it,” he warned. “We are prepared to fight, and I know America is prepared to stand with us.”
