Newsmax Host Impressed by Trump Traveling from Lower Manhattan to Midtown: ‘This Is the Energy We Need’

Newsmax host Carl Higbie lauded Donald Trump’s “energy” on Thursday, pointing to the former president’s busy day in which he traveled from one part of Manhattan to another.

Trump was in court in Lower Manhattan for his criminal trial where he is charged with falsifying business records. After speaking with reporters and falsely claiming he is barred from testifying, Trump headed toward Midtown where he stopped for two pizzas and brought them to a fire station before heading to Trump Tower.

During Thursday’s Frontline on Newsmax, Higbie did a play-by-play of a live shot of Trump at the firehouse.

“It looks like Donald Trump’s gonna come up and give a few words here,” Higbie said. “We’re following him. It looks like he’s actually gonna get back in the car. But I love when that guy gives the impromptu press conference. Keep our eye on this real quick. This is unbelievable. This guy – nonstop. He gets out of court, goes over, grabs a slice of pizza, crawls in the car, he’s going back to Fifth Avenue at Trump Tower. This is like, this is the energy we need.”

The distance from the courthouse to Trump Tower is approximately four miles, or six if he took the FDR.

Trump’s trial is one of four criminal cases against him. In all, he has pleaded not guilty to the 88 counts he faces.
