‘Okay’: Fox News’ Martha MacCallum Unimpressed By Trump Advisor’s Dig at Harris Campaign Counterpart

Fox News’ Martha MacCallum was unimpressed by a dig Trump campaign senior advisor Tim Murtaugh took at Harris campaign spokesman Ian Sams on her show Wednesday, prompting him to quickly move on.

MacCallum kicked off the segment by noting that she had invited representatives from both campaigns on and hoped that she could moderate such a discussion soon before rattling off a few recent poll results and introducing Murtaugh.

“Well, first, Martha, thank you very much for having me on. And I’m sorry that my counterpart Ian Sams couldn’t be here. There must have been a a sale on soy products at Whole Foods today or something,” he remarked after MacCallum gave him the floor.

“Ah, okay, okay,” replied MacCallum with a slightly irritated tone.

Later in the interview, MacCallum asked Murtaugh what the Trump campaign’s internal polls in Michigan were showing and interrupted when he didn’t provide a clear answer.

“By how much was my question,” she interjected.

“By a couple of points,” he answered.

Former President Donald Trump himself has objected to Sams’ appearances on Fox, asking in a Truth Social post earlier this month if Sams owned Fox News.

“He is on all the time, as are so many other of her supporters. So ridiculous that Fox allows this to happen right before the Election. We will WIN without Fox. MAGA2024!” complained Trump.

The former president also previewed a meeting with Fox’s actual owner, Rupert Murdoch, live on Fox & Friends last week, telling its hosts “I’m going to tell him [Murdoch], I’m gonna tell him something very simple because I can’t talk to anybody else about it: Don’t put on negative commercials for 21 days, don’t put them. And don’t put on the air their horrible people. They come and lie. I’m going to say, ‘Rupert, please do it this way.'”
