Oops: MSNBC Flips the Script on Obama’s Approval Rating
You have to give MSNBC’s Alex Wagner credit for opening her show Monday with a look at President Obama’s falling second term approval rating. But while Wagner reported correctly that Obama’s approval rating has dropped to 41%, down 14 points from last December, the Chyron graphic on the screen indicated a 41% disapproval rating. It stayed up on the screen without mention or correction for nearly two minutes.
The Washington Free Beacon’s Lachlan Markay spotted the error and posted a screengrab on Twitter:

The 22% approval rating for the Republican Party, which also got ample attention in the opening segment, did not suffer the same fate. It appeared on screen without error:
