O’Reilly Fires Back at MSNBC’s Chris Hayes for Claiming Lincoln Would ‘Hate’ Him
Although Bill O’Reilly used the final segment of his show Thursday night to apologize for an on-air error, he also took the opportunity to swipe back at MSNBC rival Chris Hayes for tweeting that if Abraham Lincoln were alive today, he would almost assuredly hate O’Reilly. O’Reilly didn’t let that one go, and gave his pithy response on his show.
Hayes took note of how people often try to use Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. to promote their own political messages, and that’s when he tweeted out this:

O’Reilly responded Thursday night, referring to Hayes simply as a low-rated MSNBC host, and saying that what Lincoln really hated was “desperation.”
