O’Reilly: ‘I Think I Could Persuade the Pope’ on Immigration
Bill O’Reilly returned to Fox tonight and said he would love to speak with Pope Francis after he criticized certain immigration positions as un-Christian.
The whole controversy boiled down to His Holiness being asked about Donald Trump, but O’Reilly brushed that aside and said that if he could meet with the Pope, he would want to discuss the case of Kate Steinle, who was killed by an illegal immigrant who had been previously deported multiple times.
“I think I could persuade the Pope,” O’Reilly said, “that providing protection and enforcing settled law is certainly not un-Christian. What is against the tenets of Jesus is to allow chaos that harms innocent people.”
He continued that politicians refusing to do their duty would “infuriate Jesus” much more.
