Peter King: Maybe ‘Liberal Rags’ Should Call Al Sharpton Instead of Cops
Discussing the brutal shooting of NYPD officer Brian Moore Saturday night, Representative Peter King (R-NY) told Fox & Friends Monday morning that “liberal rags” should either respect the job of police officers or depend on each other for safety.
“The next time an editorial writer or some of these commentators, instead of calling a cop, call Al Sharpton, and see what happens then,” King said.
“This is what goes on all the time, 24/7, cops putting their lives on the line,” King said. “I just wish the New York Times and Newsday and these other liberal rags would realize that and not put it all out of proportion.”
Speaking of media outlets putting things out of proportion, the Fox & Friends troika intimated the shooting was part of an anti-cop movement linked to the shooting of two NYPD officers last December, though there is no evidence to suggest that.
