Rand Paul: I’ve Avoided Stephanopoulos Interviews Because He’s Too Close to Clintons

One of the first politicians to react to George StephanopoulosClinton Foundation donations today was Rand Paul, who immediately said he shouldn’t be moderating any 2016 debates.

Paul joined Sean Hannity tonight to talk further about the matter, and revealed that he made a conscious decision to avoid Stephanopoulos interviews because of his conflicts.

“For the last year or so, we haven’t gone on,” he said. “We made the decision that he’s too close to the Clintons to really give an objective interview.”

In fact, back in 2013, Paul accused Stephanopoulos of colluding with the Obama 2012 campaign to attack Mitt Romney with the “war on women” narrative. Stephanopoulos adamantly denied that.
