Scott Jennings Dumps Pepto Bismol Into His Mug on CNN After Long Day for Republicans

CNN commentator and Republican strategist Scott Jennings poured Pepto Bismol into his coffee amid the feud between President Donald Trump and Elon Musk.

Thursday was a red-letter day for haters of the two billionaires as they openly feuded with one another.

Musk vehemently opposes Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” that is being mulled by the Senate, calling it “a disgusting abomination.” In a social media post on Thursday, Trump said Musk was “wearing thin” and stated he asked the Tesla CEO to leave the government and that Musk “went CRAZY.” Trump even threatened to cancel federal contracts with Musk’s SpaceX. Also, Musk said Trump should be impeached and claimed Trump is in the files of deceased child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

Democrats – with one lone exception – reacted with glee as the two most powerful figures in conservative politics exchanged blows. On Thursday’s CNN NewsNight, host Abby Phillip recapped the veritable GOP shitshow and noted that Tesla’s stock price plummeted in response, erasing $34 billion from his net worth after a 14% slide.

“Now, as for Trump, he’s got a bill and an agenda that is now in serious jeopardy,” she added. “These men, too emotional to lead, apparently.”

“Abby,” Jennings began, holding a brown paper bag.

“Is that a bag for you to breathe into?” the host inquired.

“No, this is what I’ll be pouring in my NewsNight mug tonight,” he explained. “Pepto Bismol is what we all need here in the Republican Party.”

“I thought it was some Jack Daniel’s,” panelist Bakari Sellers quipped.

“He might need that too,” Phillip replied.

“They both have a point,” Jennings said of Trump and Musk. “Trump’s agenda is in the bill, and he wants to pass it. That’s his point. Musk is not wrong about the national debt, and he deeply cares about this. And that’s his point. So their goals are not mutually exclusive, which is, I think, the rub. And for all these Republicans out here who, like me, have really enjoyed this coalition, this partnership, I mean, I firmly believe that the relationship and the partnership they formed last year saved America and put us on a path to saving Western civilization.”

Jennings concluded, “I still love ’em both and I hate it when mom and dad are fighting.”
