Sean Spicer Says Hitler ‘Didn’t Even Sink to Using Chemical Weapons,’ Mentions ‘Holocaust Centers’

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer made some comments during today’s press conference about Adolf Hitler and Bashar al-Assad that a reporter had to ask him to clarify a few minutes later.

In talking about the Syrian chemical attack last week, Spicer actually said, “You had someone as despicable as Hitler, who didn’t even sink to using chemical weapons.”

When asked to clarify later because, well, you know, Spicer said, “He was not using the gas on his own people the same way that Assad is doing.”

There was also a point where he talked about Hitler bringing victims to the “Holocaust center.”
