Seth Meyers Isn’t Afraid of Sony Hackers; But NBC Definitely Is
NBC’s Seth Meyers made it clear last night he won’t be intimidated by a bunch of hackers… but NBC didn’t exactly want him to stir up the hornet’s nest.
Meyers delivered some pretty straight-laced talk of free speech and cried, while text popped up on the screen reading “We here at NBC do not endorse the views of Seth Meyers. The views of Seth Meyers are his alone.”
Other text popped up, pleading with hackers to just ignore Meyers’ repeated challenges for the hackers to expose secret NBC emails and his own correspondence. And yes, Meyers still managed to get some serious points in, saying that “exercising free speech is one of the most precious rights we have as a society.”
