‘Stand Back, Bitches!’ Stewart Mocks U.N., Kerry for Failed Israel Proposals

Jon Stewart finally celebrated some good news in the Middle East: the twelve-hour ceasefire… which Hamas broke within the first ten minutes. But Stewart saved particular mockery for the U.N. and John Kerry for failed attempts in trying to deal with the crisis.

Stewart mock-praised the U.N. for stepping in, crying, “Stand back, bitches!” and “Shit’s about to get real… peaceful.” Except for the fact that the U.N.’s push for a ceasefire is not “in any way enforcablle or meaningful.” So that’s out.

Stewart asked if there’s anyone else trying to do something. And upon hearing John Kerry was on the case, Stewart kept asking. Stewart was amazed that the Israel cabinet unanimously rejected Kerry’s proposal because “Jews don’t usually agree 100 percent on anything!”
