Steve Bannon Rips Corker at Values Voter Summit: He Has ‘Mocked and Ridiculed’ Trump
Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon spoke to the Values Voter Summit today and didn’t waste much time before talking about “our war” on the GOP establishment.
He brought up the Alabama primary––where his candidate Roy Moore won against the “permanent political class”––and at one point referenced Bob Corker.
Corker––whom Bannon deemed “a real piece of work”––has been slamming the President this whole week, from his “adult day care” slam to yesterday’s comments about how President Trump has “castrated” Rex Tillerson.
Bannon went off on Corker a bit and then said this:
“Bob Corker has trashed the Commander-in-Chief of our Armed Forces while we have young men and women in harm’s way, right? He said he’s leading them on a path to World War III, that he is not stable, that people have to keep him moderated… Why some U.S. senator in a position of that authority for the first time in the history of our Republic has mocked and ridiculed a Commander-in-Chief when we have kids in the field.”
And he called out some other Republican senators for not speaking out against Corker on this.
