Steve Bannon Scorches Fox Pundits Mocking ‘Patriotism’ of Anti-War MAGA: ‘You Hated Trump!’

MAGA firebrand Steve Bannon scorched Fox News pundits and media mogul Rupert Murdoch for backing military intervention against Iran, accusing them of betraying President Donald Trump and smearing the “patriotism” of anti-war MAGA supporters.

The former Trump strategist’s tirade comes as tensions escalate following Israeli airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites and Tehran’s rocket attacks on Tel Aviv. As pressure mounts on Trump to clarify his stance on U.S. involvement, a civil war is breaking out inside the MAGA movement itself.

In a heated War Room broadcast on Wednesday, Bannon tore into Fox personalities and pundits who have been vocally supportive of military involvement. Many of those Fox pundits are longtime Trump allies, but now find themselves clashing with fellow MAGA loyalists like Bannon and Tucker Carlson, who have branded them “warmongers.” Levin has argued that only the president can make the decision and that MAGA is Trump by definition, accusing the anti-interventionist MAGA types of trying to tell the president what to do – all the while pushing for intervention.

“That’s just fear mongering from people that don’t respect you enough to actually sit there and try to say, ‘Hey, let’s reason this thing through,’” Bannon said. “And then to question your patriotism? Particularly people who never served their country a day in their life, done nothing but suck off the tit of this country.”

In a passionate defense of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) – a vocal opponent of intervention – Bannon lashed out at unnamed Fox commentators who have dismissed her as a “pipsqueak from Georgia.”

“Who are you?” he demanded. “Anybody took a paycheck from Fox in 2021, Murdoch said they were going to make Trump a non-person.”

Bannon accused Fox of running “Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley and all of them that are never going to be president,” saying the network tried to “kneecap Trump in the very first debate.”

“You hated Trump. You hated him,” he blasted.

Rounding on the Murdoch family, who he said Fox News pundits took a lead from, he called them out by name: “But it’s easy for you because you’re like Murdoch. And that corrupt family. You just get the ball rolling. You’re the information, you’re the propaganda department, then you just wash your hands of it. Did any of you guys suffer in Iraq? Any of you? Did you suffer in a Iraq? The ones that drove this, the Murdochs, you watched Succession, they’re all brokenhearted. How many times the Murdochs been over Section 60? How many? How many Lachlan, how many James, how many Rupert have you been over there?”

Bannon imagined forcing interventionist pundits to watch “Iraq clips over and over” with their eyes held open – A Clockwork Orange-style – demanding they show respect to veterans and fallen soldiers before launching another war.

“We are not isolationists,” Bannon insisted. “We’re not appeasers. Let’s honor this country and this republic. Let’s honor its citizens. And most importantly, let’s honor our dead by saying this time, we’re actually going to think it through.”
