Steve Bannon Warns Netanyahu Against Bombing Iran: ‘Read the Room’

Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon warned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against bombing Iran without U.S. support on Thursday, urging him to “read the room.”

“So, Mark Levin’s angry with the administration’s decision to ask Bibi Netanyahu to stand down on attacking Iranian nuclear facilities. What are your thoughts on that?” asked Eric Bolling on his show Bolling! Thursday. “I mean, he makes a fair point.”

Bannon replied, “What do you mean he makes a fair point? What’s the fair point?”

“Why not let Israel blow Iran to smithereens, or at least their nuclear facilities?” Bolling questioned.

Bannon then explained, “Because it’s gonna drag us into a regional war. We just got out of 20 years of it. It can’t happen, and like I tell you, I’m the biggest supporter of Israel, but I tell all the guys, including people very close to Mark, that, hey, if they go it alone, it’s the end of the American relationship with Israel. It’s just the end of it. You can’t because we’re so tied to them.”

“First off, we haven’t done anything really on putting economic pressure on them. The president’s got a whole toolbox he can use,” he said, adding:

What he’s trying to do is make sure we don’t exacerbate the whole Third World War, the kinetic part, all the way from Kursk through Kyiv, that whole arc of instability. The president, it’s on his shoulders, he’s got Witkoff as lead negotiator, but he’s got a lot of people working on this, and Kristi Noem, she didn’t go over there to talk about the two young people who were assassinated. As horrible as that was, she didn’t need to go there. She went over to deliver a message, and that message was pretty blunt to Bibi, and Bibi’s gotta learn how to read the room, because there’s just no support of that whatsoever. The polling is horrible, and under 35, it’s 100-0.

Bannon warned that an Israeli strike on Iran could set off “the kinetic war that’s already in Gaza, that’s already in Kyiv, that’s now in Kursk, in Russian territory, all the way down to the tip of the Arabian Peninsula with the Houthis in the Red Sea, in Kashmir, that whole arc of instability,” adding, “You light a match, that whole thing can go up, and you got guys with nuclear weapons all over the place there.”

He concluded, “This thing could get as ugly as you possibly can, and Trump is trying to be the peacemaker. You gotta let him play his hand, and to have Bibi saying, ‘Hey, we’re gonna go it alone,’ you can’t go it alone. We know that, we’re your biggest sponsor, and that will flip– the American people will flip.”
