Tense Video Shows Aftermath of Tunisian Museum Attack; Manhunt Underway

Gunmen killed 19 people — including 17 European tourists and a security officer — after storming a museum in Tunisia on Wednesday morning. The country’s prime minister has deemed the incident a “cowardly” terrorist attack, and a manhunt is underway for at least two of the alleged shooters.

According to Tunisian PM Habib Essid, the tourists killed in the assault hailed from Germany, Italy, Spain and Poland. Also among the dead were a museum security official and a cleaning woman. The gunmen had been holding people hostage for three hours before a firefight killed two of the suspects. At least two possible accomplices are being hunted by authorities.

All hostages have been freed at the museum.
