The Daily Show Debuts The First Recruitment Ad For Trump’s ‘Space Force’
On Wednesday night, Trevor Noah addressed President Trump‘s remarks about a potential Space Force,” which he thought were “out of this world.”
Trump made a jab at Hillary Clinton yesterday when he insisted that no one would be “thinking about going to Mars” if she was elected president.
“You know what? I’m actually going to agree with him on this one,” Noah reacted. “If Hillary won the election, people would not be thinking about going to Mars.”
The Daily Show host mocked the president for not only being worried about illegal aliens but “real aliens” as well when he proposed having a Space Force, which Trump admitted he didn’t take seriously at first.
“Wait, wait. What?!?” Noah exclaimed. “So the idea started as a joke and now Trump decided to actually do it. I feel like this is exactly how he ran for president… But seriously though, a space force? This guy’s not even done with his wars on Earth and he wants to start fighting in space?”
While some as Noah noted thought that the idea of a space force is “crazy,” The Daily Show produced the Trump administration’s first recruitment ad.
“America’s surrounded by threats, some from below, some from above,” a narrator says as submarines and aircrafts appear onscreen. “That’s why we’re building a space force.”
While the narrator admited they don’t exactly know what Space Force is, they’ll still teach recruits “space skills” like shooting laser cannons, deep space maneuvers, and advanced space combat.
