Tom Arnold Claims Apprentice Producer Mark Burnett ‘Went Apeshit and Choked’ Him at Emmys Party

Tom Arnold accused Apprentice producer Mark Burnett of choking him at a pre-Emmys party on Sunday night — and Burnett’s wife Roma Downey fired back by accusing Arnold of ambushing the couple.

“Mark Burnett just went apeshit & choked me at this huge Emmy party then he ran away with his torn Pink shirt & missing gold chain,” Arnold wrote on Twitter. “I’m waiting for LAPD”.

Around an hour later, Downey tweeted a photo of a bruise on her hand, with the caption: “Got this bruise tonight when Tom Arnold tried to ambush my husband Mark and me at a charity event. Is your TV show worth it Tom?Please stop”.

Arnold responded to Downey accusing her of lying about the incident. “I’m filing police report & suing you for defamation,” he wrote.

Arnold’s upcoming television show — The Hunt for the Trump Tapes — is set to debut Tuesday on Viceland. The premise of the show involves Arnold searching for damaging tapes of President Donald Trump — including rumored tapes of Trump making racist comments on the set of The Apprentice.

Per the Hollywood Reporter, the LAPD was aware of the incident, but said no report had been filed.

Patton Oswalt tweeted out a photo with Arnold after the scuffle:
