Trump Doubles Down on Beauty Queen Taunts: ‘She Gained a Massive Amount of Weight’

After getting called out for it by Hillary Clinton last night, Donald Trump decided to stand by the insulting comments he made about the weight of one of his former Miss Universe winners.

During a segment where Clinton attacked Trump over his treatment of women, she brought up how he once referred to supermodel Alicia Machado as “Miss Housekeeping” over her Venezuelan heritage, and also called her “Miss Piggy” after putting on weight.

Trump denied this at first when he was on stage last night, but during a Tuesday morning appearance on Fox & Friends, he decided to take some time off from bashing Lester Holt to double down on his disparaging remarks.

“She was the winner, and, you know, she gained a massive amount of weight, and it was a real problem,” said Trump. “We had a real problem. Not only that, her attitude, and we had a real problem with her.”

Machado has blasted Trump for ridiculing her weight and making a public spectacle of it, and she signed on with the Clinton campaign by appearing in one of their latest anti-Trump ads. Trump, for his part, kept on the attack by saying Machado was one of there worst Miss Universe winners his modeling agency ever had to deal with while Clinton spoke of her like Mother Theresa.
