Trump Tells Fox News Host Which of His Kids Could Become President — And It’s All of Them
President Donald Trump told Fox News host Laura Ingraham that he believes all of his children could eventually become president of the United States.
The president gave an interview that aired on Monday and Tuesday night’s editions of Fox News Channel’s The Ingraham Angle, during which he took Ingraham on a tour of the controversial renovations he has overseen.
As the president marveled at the skillful way the brass ventilation covers were painted to look like marble, Ingraham asked him how far back his keen eye for “architectural detail” went, and also which Trump child would be the next one elected president.
Trump responded that all of them — Barron Trump, Donald Trump Jr, Eric Trump, Ivanka Trump, and Tiffany Trump — could take turns winning the presidency:
LAURA INGRAHAM: Where do you think you develop the attention to architectural detail, like at what age should you start realizing that’s what you could do?
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Yeah, I was involved with my father in building and all this stuff and my father was a builder. So as a little boy I’d be sitting there playing with blocks I guess and my father would be on the phone or door door door, you know, and I’d be listening I guess.
And you know you listen, I had a father who was very good at building, he was very good at building things and so am I. I’d build better than anybody else, nobody can build like me.
LAURA INGRAHAM: But was he as–?
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: You can ask Steve Witkoff, who is the best builder? He will tell ya.
LAURA INGRAHAM: Did your dad have the same attention to the specific details that you did?
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Well, he built low, moderate, income housing, so he didn’t have to do a floor like this. You know, he’d do a flooring tile, linoleum, at the time they used to call it, and it would be a different kind of a thing.
But he had a tremendous attention to quality. In other words, if it’s going to be even, you know, a regular floor, it would be exactly even, exactly straight, it would fit perfectly. But when you look at that, look at the job, nobody has ever seen it.
LAURA INGRAHAM: Do any of your kids have that same delicate attention to detail that you have? Because that’s kind of, you can’t really teach that.
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: I think Eric is very good, Don in a very different way it’s good. Ivanka is. Tiffany’s very smart. She’s been she was a great student always a great– they’re all great students. Actually they’re great students.
And I think Barron is going to be tremendous at that it’s very meticulous.
LAURA INGRAHAM: Is he here?
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: He is, he’s here. Right upstairs. Wanna see him?
LAURA INGRAHAM: Studying? Yeah, I’d love to see him.
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: He’s doing a good job. He’s tall. He’s a tall one.
LAURA INGRAHAM: A lot of people think a lot of people think he could be the next Trump president.
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: I don’t know. I think.
LAURA INGRAHAM: Or Eric, of course. A lot of people are wondering who, which child would be the best–
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Well, in a certain way they all could.
