Tucker Carlson: ‘Ghouls on MSNBC and CNN’ Are Outraged Manafort Won’t ‘Die in Prison’

On Friday night, Fox News’ Tucker Carlson slammed the “ghouls” who want former Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort to die behind bars.

“By the time Manafort gets out of prison, he will be elderly, broke, and disgraced,” Carlson said. “But for our ruling class, that’s not nearly enough punishment. Manafort briefly managed Donald Trump‘s presidential campaign. And for that, they believe he must die in prison. Anything less cannot be allowed.”

He then played a montage of clips from non-Fox cable news pundits calling the sentencing “shocking,” “jaw-dropping” and a “slap on the wrist.”

“Paul Manafort must die,” Carlson continued on after the last clip played. “That’s what they’re demanding. Robert Mueller agrees with them. Mueller asked that Manafort receive up to 24 years in prison, for perspective that’s more than twice what the average murderer in this country spends behind bars. That’s a death sentence. Keep in mind that serial murderer Al Capone only got 11 years.”

He then once again suggested Manafort is going to prison because he managed Trump’s campaign.

Carlson then followed it up by accusing public officials of saying something “totally untrue” about what the public wants when it comes to Manafort.

He slammed Sen. Cory Booker for “wagging his finger in the face of America over mass incarceration” while being ticked off about how little time Manafort will serve in prison.

Finally, after introducing political commentator Chris Hahn to the show, the Fox News host asked him this: “Are you with the ghouls on MSNBC and CNN and the U.S. Congress that are shocked he won’t die in prison? Which he may. He’s going to be 70.”
