TV Weatherman Shot Multiple Times by Unknown Assailant in Parking Lot

A Texas weatherman was shot multiple times this morning as he was leaving work, minutes after he completed the morning broadcast, and police are currently on the lookout for his assailant.

According to KCEN, Patrick Crawford, the morning show’s meteorologist and a veteran weatherman, was in his car after filming the morning’s broadcast, and talking to an unknown man in the parking lot. The man suddenly pulled out a semi-automatic handgun, shooting Crawford “several times.” Crawford drove away and flagged down a nearby construction worker, who called 911.

The assailant was described as a white man with a receding hairline, between 30 and 35 years old. Thankfully, Crawford is expected to recover and is currently in surgery.

Hours before his shooting: Crawford won KCEN’s ugly Christmas sweater contest.
