‘Wait! Wait!’ Joe Scarborough Slams Hegseth for Pausing Ukraine Weapon Transfers Without Telling Trump

Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough torched Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in a stunned reaction to reports that the Pentagon chief paused weapons shipments to Ukraine without informing President Donald Trump.

Hegseth unilaterally paused U.S. arms transfers to Ukraine last week without notifying the White House, five sources confirmed to CNN on Wednesday in the second such instance this year, raising fresh concerns about internal coordination at the Pentagon.

During a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, Trump was asked whether he approved the pause in weapons shipments to Ukraine. He demurred, stating only that the U.S. would continue providing defensive aid. When pressed on who had authorized the pause, Trump responded, “I don’t know, why don’t you tell me?”

Reacting to the news on Wednesday’s Morning Joe, Scarborough interrupted co-host Mika Brzezinski, who was detailing the story to rail against Hegseth:

Is this like Hegseth giving Elon Musk a secret briefing on China before the White House found out?
