Chris Wallace Has Tough Time Buying Clinton Spox’s Media Defense
Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace’s eye-rolling game was strong, very strong in an interview with Clinton spox Karen Finney Sunday morning, as he attempted to ascertain when, if ever, Clinton planned on addressing the press.
“I think you’re going to see her do that later today,” Finney said. “And you’ll see that during this tour of the early states she’s going to be doing. She’ll sit down for interviews.”
Finney added that “the questions voters want to ask” were important, to which Wallace countered that reporters could ask “questions for millions of people, as opposed to the four or five hand-picked people” by the Clinton campaign.
“All the other candidates have met with reporters, sat down for interviews, held news conferences,” Wallace said. “She’s the only one who hasn’t.”
“They’ve gotta do their campaign the way they’re gonna do their campaign, and we’re going to do our campaign the way we believe we’ve got to to win the four early states,” Finney replied, getting some serious eye-rolling from the host.
UPDATE — 06/14/15, 11:19 a.m. ET: According to a Fox News spokesperson, Chris Wallace was not rolling his eyes. He was checking his time cues as the clock was running out. We have adjusted the title accordingly.
