‘What Is Rush’s Problem?’ Sharpton and Krystal Ball Slam ‘Nasty’ Attack on Michelle Obama

Yesterday, Rush Limbaugh spent some time on his radio show making fun of the designer dress that First Lady Michelle Obama wore to Tuesday night’s state dinner at the White House. In Limbaugh’s words, he saw a photo of Obama in the dress “from the rear” and thought she was Oprah Winfrey. Today, MSNBC’s Al Sharpton asked the vital question, “What is Rush’s problem?”

“She can’t even wear a beautiful dress without being criticized by Rush Limbaugh in such a nasty way,” Krystal Ball remarked. She noted the “particularly venomous” way Limbaugh has treated the first lady in the past. “It’s been really nasty, really personal, there is no line that this guy won’t cross.”

“And he still is very much an intellectual leader in the Republican Party,” Ball continued. “No one is willing to stand up to this guy. When he made his comments about Sandra Fluke, calling her a slut and a prostitute, there was no one in the party who was willing to call him out. It’s pathetic.”
