‘Wow’: CNN Anchor Shocked by Epstein Accuser’s Response From Trump Administration
CNN’s Kaitlan Collins was shocked to hear Jeffrey Epstein accuser Annie Farmer reveal she has not heard anything from Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche after she reached out.
Farmer joined Collins on Thursday’s The Source, where she called for more “transparency” when it comes to documents related to Epstein. The Epstein accuser also revealed she has reached out to Blanche about her concerns regarding the Epstein case, but she’s heard nothing back.
Farmer revealed:
So far, there hasn’t been a lot of official response to our queries. Even in this, I reached out to the prosecutors who got the guilty verdict for [Ghislaine] Maxwell saying, what’s going on? And they knew so little because they have not been involved in this process. So I wrote a letter to Deputy Attorney General Blanche saying, these are my concerns about what’s happening. And there has not been a response. So, you know, I know speaking with other survivors in this case, that even though so many politicians are talking about this, I don’t think anyone has actually been contacted by anyone.
“So you reached out to the Deputy Attorney General and you haven’t heard back?” Collins asked.
“Yes,” Farmer confirmed.
“Wow,” Collins responded before thanking her guests and wrapping up the segment.
Epstein died in 2019 of an apparent suicide while being charged with sex trafficking. At the time, he was already a convicted child sex predator. President Donald Trump’s administration has faced vocal calls for the release of more files related to Epstein following a Department of Justice/FBI memo denying the existence of a supposed client list of fellow abusers. Trump himself has called such a list a “hoax.”
Farmer said she’s concerned that the Epstein case is being politicized as the late billionaire’s longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell, serving 20 years for sex trafficking, has met with Blanche twice. No details are known about those discussions, but Maxwell has since been moved to a minimum-security prison in Texas. Farmer testified at Maxwell’s trial.
“I hate that it has been politicized the way it is because I think we lose sight of the bigger picture in that,” Farmer said.
She added a message to the president regarding calls for more Epstein documents to be made public.
“I think people on both sides care about the safety of children and I really hope that Trump understands that a message is being sent beyond just the individuals involved in this case to the wider community about the seriousness of these types of crimes,” Farmer said.
