‘You Defend Him a Lot, Bill!’: Cruz Clashes with O’Reilly Over Trump

Bill O’Reilly got a bit combative with Ted Cruz tonight when the GOP candidate attacked Donald Trump over his history of donations to big-name Democrats.

When Cruz brought up those donations, O’Reilly defended Trump and said he didn’t make those “as a politician.” He told Cruz that Trump was a businessman at the time and was no big liberal.

Cruz insisted that Trump didn’t have to give Hillary Clinton. O’Reilly countered, “You know how they play the game.”

Cruz said that means Trump is clearly part of the corruption and is responsible for the liberal policies he has supported with his money.

O’Reilly said he’s “not buying it.” Cruz countered, “I know, you defend him a lot, Bill!”
