WATCH: Woman Hurls Shoes at Gator to Keep It Away From Deer, but Reptile Has Last Laugh

A woman in Florida was left without a shoe after she tried to protect a herd of deer in a case of animal kingdom karma caught on camera.

The video begins with a shot of the deer near a pond. But in the foreground lies an alligator that is seen slowly approaching the deer.

In an apparent bid to thwart an attack on the deer, an unidentified woman in floral pajamas is seen tossing both of her shoes at the reptile.

The gator turned, but held its ground as it was struck by one of the shoes.

When the woman picked up a shoe to throw a third time, the alligator hopped out of the way, but grabbed the shoe in its mouth.

The woman filming video of the encounter, Sarah Louise Martin of England, then eggs on the reptile.

“Get the shoe and eat it,” Martin is heard saying. “Run off with her shoe. That serves her right … She’s lost a slider now. It’s in the lake.”

Martin, who was vacationing in Florida at the time, posted the clip to TikTok.

“Don’t throw shoes at animals, or karma will get you,” Martin said in the post.
