Biden Destroying Longshot Challengers In NH — And He’s Not Even On The Ballot

President Joe Biden is destroying his longshot challengers in the New Hampshire Democratic primary — where he’s not even on the ballot.

The president was taken off the ballot in New Hampshire due to the state’s defiance of the Democratic National Committee’s decision to move South Carolina up to be the first-in-the-nation Democratic primary — rendering the New Hampshire contest effectively moot.

Leading challengers Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN) and Marianne Williamson had hoped that Biden being left off the ballot could result in some sort of momentum-shifting victory or moment for them, but that dies not appear to be in the cards.

Supporters of President Biden have waged a write-in campaign — one leader of which got some “earned media” by being interviewed on CNN, who did not know who she was.

That campaign appears to have worked, and then some. Minutes after polls closed in New Hampshire, The Cook Political Report’s Dave Wasserman called the race for Biden. “I’ve seen enough: Pres. Joe Biden (D) wins the New Hampshire Democratic presidential primary,” Wasserman wrote.

With about a quarter reporting, “Unprocessed Write-In” led with 73 percent, to Phillips at 21.2 percent and Williamson at 4.5 percent.

And at 8 pm, CNN called the race for Biden:

JAKE TAPPER: It’s too early to make a projection in the Republican primary race as of now, but we do have a projection we can make right now. And CNN is projecting the President Biden will win as a write in candidate in the Democratic primary. New Hampshire over multiple challenges. Challengers who were on the actual ballot.

Remember, this primary is not sanctioned by the Democratic Party here in Washington, DC, and it does not count toward delegates. Still, the DNC did not want Biden to lose, and he did pull off a write in candidate victory in a primary that is not official.
