Pentagon Reveals Why Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin Was Hospitalized

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin was hospitalized for the past eight days for the treatment of prostate cancer, according to the Pentagon.

CNN’s Oren Liebermann reported, “Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin was diagnosed with prostate cancer last month. That’s why he went to the hospital on December 22nd. It is from discomfort from that hospitalization on December 22nd, and overnight stay, that he was then readmitted to the hospital on New Year’s Day, and that is where he has been since New Year’s Day.”

Secretary Austin’s doctor at Walter Reid released the below statement.
