Critics Revel in Oscar Ratings Crash: How’s the ‘Insufferable Woke, Depressing Lecturing’ Going, Hollywood?

Conservative critics found satisfaction in the ratings flop that took place at Sunday’s Oscars ceremony.
Hollywood suffered from a dearth of movies during the Covid-19 pandemic, but Hollywood denizens nonetheless took the stage to engage in the annual soirée of self-congratulations. An average of 9.85 million viewers tuned in for it, according to early Nielsen ratings, 13.75 million fewer — or 58.3 percent less — than in 2020.
Observers took note, including Megyn Kelly, who wrote on Twitter, “How’s all that incessant, insufferable woke, depressing lecturing via film, interviews, social media & at the actual, awful awards show going, Hollywood?”
Others critics included Piers Morgan, Sean Spicer, and Liz Peek.
BREAKING: Oscars ratings crash to an all-time low, down a staggering 58% on last year’s Awards (which was also an all-time low.) As I feared, the woke brigade may have now destroyed the biggest, glitziest event in showbusiness.

The TV ratings for the Oscars hit another all-time record low Sunday night, and are down more than 58% from the previous record low in 2020.
People have quit on award shows. We’re tired of being lectured my millionaires. We’ll stick to college football and loving America.

The offerings were terrible. I could invest the same amount of time in six episodes of Kim’s Convenience and a whole season of Derry Girls as I could watching Hollywood pretend to be depressed and both the sitcoms were free with my subscription https://t.co/k2azwG469q

Hollywood elites lost touch with American values a long time ago… and the plummeting ratings prove it.
2020: 23.6 million viewers
2021: 9.8 million viewers (a 58.3% drop)Look forward to more decline next year. And the year after that. #TheOscars https://t.co/2p4fnlhhFW
