Democratic presumptive nominee Kamala Harris’ schedule indicates that she is set to reveal her running mate pick ahead of a rally in Philadelphia on Tuesday.

According to information shared by campaign sources with Politico, the rally will mark the first joint appearance of the newly-formed Democratic ticket, as they kick off a whirlwind tour of seven key swing state stops in just four days.

Sources close to the campaign indicated that Harris is still finalizing her decision, with potential candidates like Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, Arizona Senator Mark Kelly, and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg among those under consideration.

The choice of Philadelphia as the launchpad has ignited further speculation about Harris’ running mate as some believe the location choice to indicate Shapiro. Yet, according to Politico, a campaign aide cautioned against reading too much into the location, stressing the city’s strategic importance in the broader electoral map.

As Harris prepares to embark on this crucial tour, the Democratic campaign is gearing up for an intense battle, with stops in Wisconsin, Michigan, North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona, and Nevada slated to follow the Philadelphia announcement.
