6 People Injured in Swiss Train Knife Attack

Up to 7 people were injured in a knife attack on a Swiss train earlier today.

According to the BBC, the attack was carried out by a 27-year-old Swiss man. Not only did he have a knife on him, but authorities said that he poured a flammable liquid around the train car––which caught fire––before lunging at people with the knife.

Reports are saying that one of the victims was a 6-year-old. Authorities and paramedics rushed to the scene soon after and none of the injuries have yet been deemed fatal.

The other victims were reportedly two males, 17 and 50, and three women––17, 34, and 43.

The motive for the attack has not yet been determined.
