A Disguised Sacha Baron Cohen Trolls Sarah Palin: ‘I Did NOT Say I Was a War Vet’

Sarah Palin said she was duped into an interview with Sacha Baron Cohen disguised as a wounded veteran, and it looks like he’s not ready to give up the joke just yet.
In a tweet Thursday from an account under the name Billy Wayne Ruddick Jr., the character with whom Palin apparently thought she was meeting, Cohen launched a humorous defense of the interview, continuing his imitation of a right-wing Trumpster.
“I did NOT say I was a War Vet,” he wrote. “I was in the service – not military, but United Parcel, and I only fought for my country once – when i shot a Mexican who came onto my property.”
Baron Cohen, er, Mr. Ruddick Jr., refers to himself as the CEO of a website called truthbrary.org, and claims the former Alaska governor has fallen victim to media lies, adding, “I do believe you have been hit by a bullshit grenade and are now bleedin’ FAKE NEWS.”
The Wrap confirmed the Twitter account was in fact linked to Baron Cohen.

The letter, addressed to “Vice-President Palin,” appears to be a response to her Tuesday Facebook post in which she vents her frustration about the comedian’s trickery, having traveled across the country with her daughter for the interview with a man she thought was a war hero, only to learn it was a setup for Baron Cohen’s Showtime series, “Who Is America?”
“I join a long list of American public personalities who have fallen victim to the evil, exploitive [sic], sick ‘humor’ of the British ‘comedian’ Sacha Baron Cohen, enabled and sponsored by CBS/Showtime,” she wrote.
