A House Dem Ate Some Skittles During IRS Hearing to Talk About Refugees
Raising questions about Donald Trump‘s tax returns wasn’t the only thing Democrats did at the IRS hearings today. One of them ate Skittles.
Luis Gutierrez chewed a bit and told the IRS commissioner, “Thank you… I’m just gonna finish up this Skittle. I really love Skittles, ’cause as you see, they come orange, yellow, red, and purple. All the colors.”

He took out his Skittles and touted how “a lot of people on our side of the aisle” like that diverse mixture of colors. Gutierrez declared, “Every now and then, I’ll get a bad Skittle. But I don’t ban them all.”
And then he pivoted to talking about young women fleeing horrors in their home countries, refuting Donald Trump Jr.‘s tweet about Skittles and refugees.
