‘Aggressive Meat Salesman’ Plagues Small Texas Town

shutterstock_188405027Local police in Dripping Springs, Texas have issued a warning to residents to be on the lookout for an “aggressive” meat salesman going door to door.

According to the Austin American-Statesman, whose the headline reads “Watch out for aggressive meat salesman,” Hays County Sheriff’s Office issued the warning on its Facebook page Thursday afternoon. They warned of an individual or group of men that was reportedly selling meat door to door in an “aggressive” and “threatening” manner.

While “it appears that this person(s) may be threatening and/or aggressive when speaking with residents,” the police were initially unable to corroborate the report with any previous instances. However, the Hays County Sheriff’s Office corrected their prior statement in a later update, saying “there have been at least two incidents reported to Hays County within the last two weeks”.

No details about the specific nature of the meat salesman’s (or salesmen’s) alleged threats were provided in the statement.
