$25K Donation Will Get You ‘Preacher Status’ at Sharpton’s 60th Birthday Party

Paying $25,000 to enter Rev. Al Sharpton‘s 60th birthday party will get you “preacher status,” according to the New York Post.

The party, planned for Wednesday in New York, also serves as a way for Sharpton to solicit donations for his National Action Network organization.

Smaller donations grant guests similar Sharpton-themed admissions.

A $1,500 donation gets guests “medallion” status. For another $1,000, they’ll get “tracksuit” status, a reference to the ill-fitted, dumpy garb Sharpton was famous for during the 1990s.

The party is dubbed “Party for a Cause,” according to the Post.
