‘Alcohol Was Not Involved’: Tiger Woods Issues Statement on DUI Arrest

Tiger Woods has released a statement addressing his arrest earlier today for DUI. The professional golfer insists that what happened was due to an “unexpected reaction to prescription medications” and had nothing to do with alcohol:

“I didn’t realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly,” Woods said. “I would like to apologize with all my heart to my family, friends and the fans. I expect more of myself too.”
Woods was arrested at about 3 a.m. Monday near his home in Jupiter Island, Florida. He was released released from Palm Beach County Jail at around 10:50 a.m.
