WATCH: Chaos as Anti-Kavanaugh Protesters Flood Capitol Hill, Dozens Arrested: ‘Our Courts!’
As the clock ticks closer to the vote on Judge Brett Kavanaugh‘s confirmation, droves of protesters are flooding Washington in a last ditch effort to quash his Supreme Court appointment.
Reporters on the ground for Thursday’s demonstrations remarked on the massive number of Kavanaugh’s opponents marching to the Hart Senate Office Building and the Supreme Court itself.
Joining the fight was actress and comedian Amy Schumer, who was arrested in the process, CNN reported. Her relative, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has been vocal in his disapproval of the judge who’s been the subject of scrutiny following accusations of sexual assault and heavy drinking.
Schumer was just one of a handful of arrests which could be seen that afternoon as Capitol Police rounded up demonstrators who are enraged as senators prepare to vote now that the FBI investigation into Kavanaugh has ended.
