Anti-Semitic Graffiti Found at School Named for Anne Frank

French authorities are looking into anti-Semitic graffiti that discovered recently at a preschool named for Anne Frank.

According to Ynet News, the graffiti included a swastika and a phrase that roughly translates as “exterminate all the dirty Jews and the Roma.”

A former principal at the school saw the graffiti, posted pictures on Facebook, and said, “I woke up to see this on my beautiful little quiet school in my beautiful quiet neighborhood. It makes me cry.”

There is a police investigation underway, and France’s Education Minister denounced the graffiti in a brief statement:

(That roughly translates to “Despicable anti-Semitic and racist inscriptions on the walls of the Anne Frank school of Montreuil. This act will not go unpunished.”)
